System Status UpdatesCURRENT STATUS: Nov 13 4:45 am The part was replaced and all filesystems should be functioning normally. All LSF queues are open. Thanks for your patience. Update (11:12pm): The necessary parts will arrive in 2 hours. We expect the storage system to come online around 4 am. Status: Nov 12 9:30 pm: A hardware failure on the backend storage system is causing extreme performance degradation on the Odyssey home filesystem. The queues have been closed to further job submission until the situation is improved. Older news: Access to Odyssey is now open. But protocol for access is new. Please read the content below We will be using RSA SecurID to control access to Odyssey. This means that to log in to Odyssey, in addition to typing your username and password, you will have to enter a one time passcode that changes every minute. This pass code, which is unique to you, shows up on a small fob (the size of a USB key drive) which will be assigned to you. Please note that to get the fob you will have to sign an agreement stating your responsibility to ensure safety of the key fob and loss of or damage to the fob will result in a replacement fee of $50. You may download and read the fob receipt form (PDF). Update as of Oct 22, 2009: all existing and active users of Odyssey should now have a fob. As a result we have removed the fob request form and now issue fobs as part of the account creation process. If you have an existing Odyssey account but do not have a fob, please email rchelp@fas.harvard.edu to get one.
